BARBED AND TANGED ARROWHEAD

A flint barbed and tanged arrowhead dating from the Beaker Period to the Middle Bronze Age, about 2400 BC - 1000 BC. It is formed on semi-translucent buff to pink coloured flint with some speckles of partial patination. It is triangular with two rounded notches worked in the base and is complete. It has covering, scaled, low-angle retouch on both faces. It is 32.9mm long, 26.5mm wide and 4.3mm thick. 2.43g. It has been labelled as a Green Low Type.
