A complete copper-alloy buckle pin dating to the Medieval period. The shaft of the pin is rectangular in plan and square in section with a raised rectangular area consisting of five ridges towards the hook end. The hook itself is sub-oval in section, while the other end of the shaft tapers to a pointed terminal that is slightly concave on the underside where it would have sat on the frame. The buckle pin measures 53.5mm in length, 9.5mm in width and 5.5mm in thickness. It weighs 6.70 grams. Egan and Pritchard 1991, p. 115, fig. 75, no. 541.
