Lead alloy vessel fragment. A small segment from the base or top of a cylindrical vessel of estimated diameter 60mmm. The wall is plain and thin. Either the top or the base - which it is that remains is uncertain - bears a moulded frieze of vegetal decoration: whether a border or part of a more extensive scheme is unknown. This might be from a cheap item of formal tableware, or perhaps a small vase sold as a 'fairing' or trinket. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1875-1900

Height (as found): 8.9mm, Thickness (wall): 1.6mm, Weight: 3.05gms
