A fragment of an initial T-shaped bow brooch, possibly a plate headed type. The wings, fragment of the bow and the stub of a corroded iron pin remain. The wings are short and tubular housing the (probably iron) axis bar for the corroded pin. There is considerable iron corrosion product obscuring the pin and the head of the bow. TAt the head is the stub of a head loop. Below this the remaining bow extends to the break. The bow has a shallow D-shaped cross section and tapers slightly.
