An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Trumpet brooch; date, c. AD 75 - 175. The head is missing and the catchplate is damaged. Behind the remaining part of the head is a slot for the hinged pin which is missing. Below this are triple banded semi-circular collars. The foot is a semi-circular disc. The remains of a catchplate can be seen above the foot. The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The length is 57mm, the width is 15mm thickness and the weight 10.46g.
