Fragment of a late medieval - post medieval copper alloy purse frame dating to the period c. AD 1450 - 1550. D-sectioned bar, slightly curved along its length and terminating in an old break at either end. Approximately halfway along the extant length is a group of three parallel transverse grooves. Projecting at regular intervals from the flat edge of the frame are three integrally cast sewing loops, one of which is incomplete due to old damage.
