Medieval (c.1350-1400) strap fitting; bar-mount pendant loop. The copper alloy bar loop is rectangular with a sub-quatrefoil openwork. The narrow edges of the frame are narrowed to enable the mount element to be seated, but this element is missing. The surface of the mount is heavily abraded.
It measures 17.06mm in length, 13.97mm wide and weighs 1.74g.
Egan and Pritchard (2002) dates a similar bar-mount pendant loop, No. 1189, to the latter half of the 14th century.
