A copper-alloy post-medieval dagger scabbard chape with pressed decoration. The chape has been squashed and is now 18mm wide and 4.2mm thick. The chape tapers towards the foot which is circular in cross section (6.2mm wide). The chape is decorated with machine pressed decoration consisting of two circumfernetial bands flanking plain sections with foliate deocration below. The band at the top is decorated with punshed stars, the central band is decorated with conjoined pellets with a central dot.
The chape is 39.85mm in length, 18mm wide and weighs 4.32 grams.
