A somewhat worn silver hammered penny struck for Edward III, dating c. 1344-1351. Third 'florin' coinage, mint of London. This fit's into Withers'/North's 'unusual type' C (North 1119), Lombadic 'N's on reverse and reverse-barred on obverse.
