A complete copper alloy medieval buckle frame and pin, dating from c.1270-1350 AD. The frame is D shaped with the outer frame wider than the two sides. The inside of the buckle frame is bevelled. The pin bar is slightly recesse and the corners of the pin bar where it meets the frame are squared. The pin is a piece of copper alloy wire wrapped around the pin bar which is rounded at the tip. The buckle has a green patina, and measures 22.3mm in length, 17.5mm in width, and weighs 2.98g.
