Lead alloy Post Medieval discoidal object probably a weight or token. Obverse; 4ST stamped in light relief, flanked in upper and lower field with three pellets, the centre one of which is slightly larger; all within a twin outer border. Reverse; flat topped shield with letters D/B flanking. Shield surmounted by the date 1724. Within the shield is a central upright device (possibly a candlestick) with vertical lines to either side. Dia 27.3mm, thickness 4mm, weight 13.3g. The object is close to half an ounce and the 4 ST is suggestive of a unit of weight or coin denomination such as a Dutch Stuvier, but no parallels could be found.
