A Medieval to Post-Medieval open thimble or sewing ring, probably dating to c. AD 1400-1600. The thimble consists of a hoop of copper alloy, now flattened and with a large dent to the upper edge. The hoop comprises of a flat band with a series of shallowly hand-drilled sub-circular indentations aranged into a series of concentric circles.

Dimensions: Length 26.4mm; width 8.3mm; thickness 13.8mm; weight 4.29g.
