A fragment of a copper-alloy double-looped buckle dating from Medieval to Post Medieval. (1350-1650).
The fragment is "D" shaped and is an irregular "D" shape in section varying in thickness along it's length.
The pin bar is triangular in section and is missing the pin. There are two lobes extending from either end of the pin bar which would have continued to form the other half of the buckle.
The buckle is 20.9mm long, 35mm wide, 3.4mm thick and weighs 4.6 grams. The buckle has a green patina with an iron stain on the pin bar.
