A copper alloy rectangular mount of possible Medieval date, about AD 1066 - 1500. It is a large sheet of copper alloy, slightly curved longitudinally. It is perforated with six circular holes; four larger ones (about 5.8mm diameter), one in each corner, and two smaller ones (about 3.7mm) near one end. The smaller apertures may be replacements for the large ones at that end which are damaged; one has torn at the corner, and the other corner has been folded over. The mount has a well developed light green to brown patina. It is 66mm long, 23.6mm wide and 1.7mm thick. 11.9g.
