An unideintified object; a perforated lead disc pf unknown date (Roman to Post Medieval). It has a thickened rim on both faces, and the rim is uneven. The central perforation is oval and is wider on one face than on the other. The most interesting feature is the impression of a twisted cord across one face, across the centre and interreupted by the central aperture. The disc is slightly oval; it is 27.7mm maximum diameter (24.8mm smallest diameter) and 4.9mm thick. 23.1g.Compare ESS-8653E3.
