Prehistoric flint thumbnail scraper, probably of early Bronze age date. Formed on a secondary flake from a pebble of dark grey/black flint with original cortex remaining over two-thirds of the dorsal face - one third of this face has recortication. It is triangular in plan and D-shaped in profile, with abrupt retouch on two edges, and there is a step-fracture to one of the facets on the dorsal face, at the same end as the striking platform on the ventral face, which suggests that the scraper was worked from both ends.
It is 21.4 long by 18.1mm wide and up to 11.2mm thick, and weighs 4.0g.
