A copper alloy finger ring, probably of Post Medieval date, about AD 1500 - 1800. The hoop is D shaped in cross-section and flares at the shoulders to a flat oval bezel set across the hoop. The surface is corroded, but the bezel is probable also a seal matrix, making the ring a signet ring. The shoulders are decorated with frequent crescent shaped stamp or punch marks. The ring is 24.2mm long, 23.5mm diameter, 14.1mm wide. Internal diameter 18.5mm. 8g. A ring of the same form, but with different decoration on the shoulders is HAMP-88A2E1.
