It consists of hollow cast sub-circular main element, which has the a pointed oval opening along the median longitudinal axis of both the wider faces. The top edges have a shallow V shape in plan. There is a knop protruding from the top edge of each narrow sides. The underside of the main element has a rounded knop extending at right angle to the the wider faces of the chape. Inside the chape there is a fragmentary copper-alloy sheet folded to adhere to the inner sides of the main element. The chape is abraded and pitted.
