Copper alloy probable key fragment. An object comprising two elements: a narrower solid round-section bar, angled sharply and with a knop at its external angle, here taken to be the lozengiform bow; and a broader rounded element whose narrower end is hollowed to a depth of c.5mm, the stem. There is a substantial rounded collar at the junction of stem and bow. The object is probably broken at both its ends. A medieval date is likely, and it could be assigned to London type VI, probably late 13th to 15th century.
