A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. Possibly a part of a handle of a cosmetic instrument. It is 55 mm long, 4.7mm wide and 2 mm thick at the mid point. It is rectangular in section but round at one end: it tapers slightly to a blunt point 2.5 mm diameter decorated with five incised circumferential grooves. The other end terminates in a break forming a notch. The surface shows linear striations and is a brassy colour - it is unclear if this is the result of cleaning.
