Complete finger ring made from a flat strip of copper alloy. Probably Early Post Medieval (AD 1500 – AD 1600). External diameter 20mm, width 6mm and about 0.5mm thick. Weight 2.03g

The outer surface of the hoop has punched decoration in the form of alternating rectangular panels of voided cross saltires and oblique lines. The joint where the two ends of the strip abut is clearly visible. The inside of the hoop appears to be plain. The ring is slightly corroded and there is no evidence for gilding.
