Copper alloy clasp fragment. The concavo-convex front part of a clasp with an integrally cast short backward pointing hook; Read early post-medieval Class C Type 3. The convex display surface bears incised cross-hatch, possibly affording improved grip as well as decorative effect, with a plain border. A back plate is lost. Suggested date: early post-medieval, 1500-1700.
