Lead possible spindle whorl. Cast cylindrical flat-sided whorl with a central moulded and tapered aperture of diameter 12.2-11.3mm, Walton Rogers form B. Patinated. There may be a tying groove on one side, which might signal the conversion of whorl to weight. The mass points to a primary function plying cord, while the aperture size may suggest an Anglo-Scandinavian date. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 950-1050
