Lead spindle whorl. Cast whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 10.5mm, combining the characteristics of a globular whorl - a form common from the 13th century - and the biconical whorls of the early post-medieval period. There are relict traces of moulded decoration and a moulded rim to associate this object with the latter type. Patinated. Suggested date: Late Medieval, 1350-1500.
