A fragment of a cast copper alloy leg of a small skillet, broken off at the top and above the foot. with three moulded ribs running vertically down the face of the leg. Just before the lower break in the leg it begins to splay out to what would have been the foot. There is no collar above the foot. The leg is rectangular in plan, splaying out slightly at the bottom left hand corner, and plano-convex in section with a flat back. There is black organic material on the surface of the leg burnt on when it was near the fire. A simple leg of this type is illustrated by Butler & Green (2003) on page 65, no.40, dating from the 17th century.
