~~Copper alloy stirrup strap mount that has a sub-rectangular plate that is surmounted by a pointed top. This is decorated with three openwork holes at the top; flaking this are two wide panels with undulating edges, on complete examples these would have been engraved with beats heads, but on this example all detail has worn/corroded away. Below in the centre of the plate is an animal head depicted in high relief, again all detail has been lost through wear/corrosion. In the bottom centre of the plate is a single rivet hole. At the base of the artefact a rearward facing angled projection that has a panel of iron corrosion on the top edge. This is a Williams Class B, Type 3, Group 1 which dates to the 11th century
