Cast lead alloy weight, probably of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. The weight is in the shape of a truncated cone with a sub-circular flat base from which the sides taper inwards to the flattened round topped apex. The weight has been perforated, with an irregularly shaped hole running from the apex to the base.
The weight measures 20.64mm in height, 32.80mm in diameter at the base and weighs 106.08 g.
Lead weights were used for a long period and lack many diagnostic features, so are difficult to date precisely although most are Medieval or Post medieval in date.
