An incomplete Roman copper alloy disc brooch, The brooch is circular with a rasied plain border which surrounds a recessed field. This contains a central raised pellet which is surrounded by a border formed of four semi-circular pellets joined by four raised arched tressures forming a raised cruciform motif. The semi-circular pellets are infilled with traces of red enamel. The remainder of the recessed surface is plain. On the reverve at the outer edge is a semi-circular pin lug and at the opposite side is the area for a catchplate, which is now completely missing and indicated by a 'U' shaped void. The pin is missing. This object matches Hattatt fig. 206, e.g. 1137, 100-200 and is very similar to PAS record LEIC-1CD63D.
