A Roman copper alloy finger ring of Henig Type VIII. Oval in profile and D-shaped in section, with projecting keeled shoulders which rise to a high oval bezel, which has two 'S' shapes, and is outlined with incised V-shaped grooves on each shoulder. The upper part of the ring is in quite good condition, well made with a smooth patination. The bezel measures 7 mm long by 5 mm wide. The ring is mishapen and measures 23 wide by 17mm long. Weight 2.67g.
