A wall and part base sherd from a thick walled wheel thrown vessel, probably of medieval date. The fabric is orange with some small voids and angular inclusions. The matrix exposed at the breaks shows a reduced grey interior. The interor surface has a brown slip coating and splashes of a light brown glaze near the base. There are fine grooves from the wheel throwing process.

Overal width, 48.6 mm, length 53 mm, thickness 8 - 12 mm. Weight 46.4 g
