A silver post-medieval coin; a groat probably of Edward VI (AD 1547 - 1553), posthumous issue in the name of Henry VIII (AD 1547 - 1551), York mint, illegible or no initial mark. See North (1991) Volume 2, number 1876. It is 26.5mm in diameter and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 1.92gm. There are a few chips missing from the edge of the coin.
