A copper alloy Medieval harness pendant dating from about AD 1200 - 1400. It is rectangular, wider than it is tall, with a suspension loop at rght angles to the plane of the pendant projecting from the centre of the upper edge. There is a circular hole in the centre, perhaps where another element was attached. A very faint mark on the pendant suggests that the extra element could have been lozenge shaped. There is little visible decoration, apart from traces of gilding and a very faint suggestion of a stamped annulet or possible border. The pendant has a green patina. It is 40mm long, 36.9mm wide and 6.5mm thick. 8.37g.
