An incomplete copper-alloy one-piece brooch of 'Nauheim derivative' La Tene III type of the Late Iron Age or Early Roman period (c. AD 25 - 100). The pin and and small section of the catch-plate are missing. The brooch has a head with an internal chord and complete bilateral four-coil spring which extends to form the pin, now missing. The upper part of the bow is almost rectangular in plan, tapering gradually to a point at the foot of the brooch with the catchplate on the reverse. The foot of the brooch is now bent backwards.
