Two Post-Medieval silver shillings of George III, dated to AD 1816 and 1818 respectively. London mint. Spink no. 3790.

1. Date: 1816, Diameter 23.7mm; weight 5.23g.

2. Date: 1818, Diameter 23.6mm; weight 5.31g.

Since the coins were not over 300 years old at the time of finding they do not qualify for consideration as potential treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996, and instead fall under pre-1996 Treasure Trove laws, in the opinion of the British Museum's curators, the coins do not have to be reported as potential Treasure (pers. comm. 08/03/2018).
