Copper alloy brooch fragment. Cast concavo-convex fragment from the foot of a cruciform brooch, comprising the upper part of a horse head terminal with large rounded eyes modelled in relief, and with the top [only] of the muzzle of a horse, possibly with a moulded cross-rib or stop above it. Broken at both ends and abraded. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 500-600.
