An unidentified copper alloy object of probable Medieval to Post-Medieval date. The object consists of a sub-circular-sectioned shank, c. 3.3mm in diameter and c. 22.7mm in length, constricting at one terminal and expanding in in cross section at the other end. At this end the shank becomes sub-lozengiform in cross section, and measuring 6.4mm by 5.8mm at the maximum, from where it tapers into a narrowed waist before expanding into a lozengiform terminal knop, 10.2mm long, 5.4mm wide and 4.8mm thick.
Overall dimensions: Length 51.4mm; width 6.4mm; thickness 5.8mm; weight 5.23g.
