The back face of the head has a central longitudinal slot from which the incomplete circular sectioned pin is hinged to the axis-bar. The front face of the head is decorated with a pair of parallel transverse grooves at the end of both wings. The surviving bow has a D-shaped cross-section and tapers towards the break; Its front face is decorated with a median longitudinal ridge and two parallel and oplique grooves at either end of the upper bow, where it joins the head. The brooch is covered with a greenish brown patina with abrasions and old breaks now worn.
