A complete but slight damaged cast copper alloy fob dangler or dress fitting dating to the Late Iron Age (c. 100 BC - AD 80). The fob is extremely small, and may have been more suitable as a dress accessory rather than an item of horse harness decoration, which is what fobs are generally assumed to be (although this is far from certain). The fob features three openwork circles joined around a central triangular plate, which forms the base of the integrally cast suspension / attachment loop that extends from the reverse of the object. The loop is complete but one section is now broken away from the main loop.
Fob danglers are enigmatic objects. Those featuring variations of triskele designs, or groups of three spirals, are the most common. This is the smallest example I have seen by a long way.
