Unique ID: DEV-CCF8F4

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A Flint scraper of probable Late Neolithic date, c. 3,300-2,400BC. Worked from a tertiary flake of grey-brown flint mottled with paler inclusions. The ventral face exhibits pronounced conchoidal ripple marks and a lon bulbar scar, but a diffuse bulb of percussion. The distal and left edges of the dorsal face exhibit long, abrupt, sub-parallel retouch.

Dimensions: Length 19.6mm; width 22.7mm; thickness 8.6mm; weight 3.92g.

Part of a small assemblage of flint found in the same area, containing an incomplete plano-convex knife (DEV-100D63) and oblique arrowhead (DEV-CD9A31) suggesting a late Neolithic date range. See also: DEV-CC5126, DEV-10962A, DEV-CDDFD5, DEV-CCADC3.
