A complete but worn cast copper-alloy post-medieval strap fitting (belt mount) dating from c. AD 1500-1700. The copper alloy strap fitting is a simplistic acorn design. It is sub-oval in plan with one terminal having an integral knop. Bisecting the two halves is a linear groove. The reverse has two circular sectioned integral studs, both of which are incomplete. These studs would pass through the strap leather and hold the fitting in place.
