Iron Age to Medieval (150 BC to 15th century) ring: A copper alloy sub-oval copper alloy ring with a bi-convex section with rounded corners. A small portion of the exterior edge is slightly straight which may be part of the casting process. The surface of the ring has an incomplete light brown patina.

It measures 29.54mm long, 28.74mm wide and 3.39mm thick. It weighs 5.97g.

Similar rings are illustrated in Jackson (1990) Nos. 152-155 which are described as harness fittings. There are possibly other uses of such a type of suspension loop, but these are also seen in the Medieval period as harness fittings or sword belt fittings.
