A complete copper-alloy Mount of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is an openwork figurative strap fitting or mount and is flat in section, circular in plan. The mount takes the form of a crescent moon with a face in profile, and a six point star protruding from the lower portion. There is an integral semi-circular suspension loop. Within the upper portion of the inside of the mount is an irregular plate with an unclear motif. The mount has two attachment spikes on the back.

The metal is a dark green in colour with areas of light green corrosion product.
