A complete cast copper-alloy Anglo-Scandinavian single loop buckle. The D-shaped frame is in openwork Urnes style that dates the buckle to the late 11th century. On either side of the copper-alloy strap bar are two biting beasts with pointed oval eyes. The ribbon like bodies of the beast's form the frame the buckle, interlacing with curving lines. The strap bar has the remains of an iron pin, which is now broken into two pieces. The length is 32.6mm, the width is 30.0mm and the weight is 10.90g.
