An incomplete iron medieval to post-medieval horseshoe (1200-1700). It is difficult to give a narrower date range or type due to a large proportion of the horseshoe being missing. As well as this, the horseshoe has been bent slightly. There is one circular, 3.17mm in diameter, hole which may be a nail-hole, on the very edge of the shoe. Due to the absence of other nail-holes and the condition of the horseshoe in general it is impossible to ascertain whether this is a nail-hole, or mere damage. What may have been the calkin is also covered in corrosion. In total, the horseshoe measures 103.67mm in length, 107.73mm in width (4.07mm at the narrowest), 4.09mm thick and weighs 54.09g.
