A copper alloy strap end of Medieval date, about AD 1250 - 1450. It is formed from two sheet plates and a forked spacer. The body is sub-rectangular, tapering towards the closed end which has a small pointed knop. The attachment end is slightly concave. There is a copper alloy rivet at each end. It is 30.7mm long, 12.9mm wide and 3mm thick. It weighs 4.15gm. See Egan and Pritchard (1991) Page 142.
