A complete piece of flint Debitage of Mesolithic date (9000-3550 BC). The object is a utilised waste flake. The lithic is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains three predominant negative scars and corresponding arrises. The proximal and distal edges have been abruptly blunted. All edges have some semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is predominantly flat with a single negative scar situated at the distal end. The lithic retains a minor amount of cortex at the distal end of the dorsal surface and is therefore a secondary flake.
The flint is light brown in colour with grey inclusions throughout. The cortex is cream in colour.
