Post Medieval silver hammered coin of Elizabeth I, a penny possibly of the second issue. The initial mark is possibly a cross-crosslet on the obverse If this is so it would indicate it was produced at Thomas Stanley's mint in the Tower of London. Dates to between c1560 and c1561 AD.
The diameter is 14mm and the weight 0.60g.
Obverse inscription is E D G ROSA SINE SPINA and the reverse inscription is CIVI/TAS/LON/DON.
