An incomplete Medieval bichrome, glazed ceramic floor tile dating to the 14th century. This is a Penn tile, Eames design No. 2377 an example in the catalogue is no. 361. The tile is decorated with geometric design consisting of a central cross within a lozenge, within two interlocking ovals with trefoils in their angles. The tile fabric is a highly fired, bright red ceramic.
