A Post Medieval silver coin; a shilling of Philip and Mary (AD 1554 - 1558), dating from AD 1554 - 1555. Reverse: POSVIMVS DEVM ADIVTORM NOSTRVM; oval garnished shield with arms of Spain and England; above a crown which divides the mark of value XII. North (1991) number 1968 on page 128. The coin is 31mm diameter, 0.8mm thick and 4.97g. The coin is slightly bent and the obverse is almost illegible.
