A post-Medieval silver coin: a penny of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603), third issue (AD 1583 - 1603), probably anchor initial mark dating from AD 1597 - 1600. It is 13.2mm diameter, 0.6mm thick and 0.58g. See North (1991), volume 2, page 137, number 2017.
